Shelby is an experienced writer and editor who has worked across media platforms to produce informative, engaging, and beautiful content. Her work spans diverse topics including weddings, interior design, fashion, beauty, travel, and entertainment.

Hailing from Pasadena, California, Shelby earned her B.A. in English with a minor in Media Studies at Scripps College. Her journey into the world of journalism began with writing for The Student Life newspaper and holding internships at Martha Stewart Weddings, The Hollywood Reporter, and Los Angeles Magazine. She is also fluent in French and spent a semester studying writing, film, and wine in Aix-en-Provence, France.

After graduating, Shelby worked as an editor for five years at the home publication Lonny Magazine in San Francisco and NYC. She became well-versed in the world of interior design, managing teams of writers, creating commerce content, and orchestrating original photo shoots. In 2021, Shelby took on a new role as the Senior Editor of Brides, where she ran the real weddings and trending verticals, as well as the Brides’ Best Planners and Photographer Awards. In addition to establishing herself as an expert in the bridal space, she produced celebrity weddings, SEO-tailored content, an Apple News issue, and monthly curated feature packages.

In 2023, Shelby embarked on a new chapter as a freelance writer, editor, and content consultant. Her work has graced the pages of renowned publications including The Knot, Allure, Time, and Business of Home. She also serves as a Contributing Writer at Vogue. Beyond her editorial contributions, Shelby lends her expertise to wedding industry professionals through mentoring and curation services, guiding them in real wedding submissions.

Shelby currently resides in Brooklyn, New York with her fiancé Olivia and a cat named Ella. As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, she always advocates for awareness and equality in her work.
